What we offer

Customised Exercise programs

Exercise is an important component of physiotherapy treatment as it can help to improve physical function, reduce pain, and prevent further injury. Roderiques Physiotherapy will develop an exercise program tailored to your specific needs. This can include exercises to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and endurance.

Falls Prevention

Falls prevention is an important aspect of physiotherapy, as falls are a major cause of injury and disability, particularly in older adults.

Roderiques Physiotherapy can help to prevent falls by assessing and addressing the underlying causes of falls, such as weakness, poor balance, and poor mobility.

Some fall prevention techniques that Roderiques Physiotherapy may use include:

  • Strength and balance exercises
  • Gait training
  • Home assessment

Chest Physiotherapy

Chest physiotherapy is a form of treatment that helps to clear mucus and other secretions from the lungs. It is often used to treat conditions such as cystic fibrosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary
disease (COPD), and pneumonia. Techniques used in chest physiotherapy include deep breathing exercises, coughing, and chest percussion (clapping or vibrating the chest to loosen secretions). The goal of chest physiotherapy is to help patients breathe more easily and improve lung function.

Orthopedic Rehabilitation

Orthopedic conditions refer to injuries or disorders of the musculoskeletal system, which includes bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles.

Roderiques Physiotherapy can be an effective treatment for many orthopedic conditions, including:

  • Osteoarthritis
  • Tendinitis
  • Bursitis
  • Fractures

Pre-surgical Rehabilitation

Pre-surgical rehabilitation, also known as prehabilitation, is a type of physical therapy that is designed to prepare patients for upcoming orthopedic surgery.

The goal of pre-surgical rehabilitation is to improve the patient’s overall physical condition, which can help to reduce the risk of complications and improve the chances of a successful surgery and recovery. Pre-surgical rehabilitation typically includes a combination of exercises, manual therapy, and other techniques to help patients improve strength, flexibility, range of motion, and endurance.

Post-Surgical Rehabilitation

Post-surgical rehabilitation is a type of physiotherapy that is designed to help patients recover from orthopedic surgery. The goal of post-surgical rehabilitation is to help patients regain strength, flexibility, range of motion, and function, in order to return to their daily activities, work and sports.

For example, after a knee replacement surgery, the program will focus on regaining range of motion, strength and stability of the knee joint and its surrounding muscles. After a spinal surgery, the program will focus on pain management, core stability, and overall mobility.

Neurological Rehabilitation

Neurological rehabilitation, also known as neurorehabilitation, is a type of physiotherapy that is designed to help individuals recover from injuries or disorders of the nervous system.

The nervous system is composed of the brain, spinal cord, and nerves that control movement, sensation, and other functions of the body. Neurological conditions that may benefit from rehabilitation include:

  • Stroke
  • Traumatic brain and spinal cord injury
